HOW THE JOURNEY BEGAN
For many years, GEM Growing Eager Minds (G.E.M) founder, Ms Chow, dived into the science of brainworks and focused on the children’s optimization of this uniquely powerful organ for each individual to achieve their ultimate potential. Incorporated in 2011, the G.E.M Methodology is rooted in the founder’s PASSION of cultivating innate development of the genius in every child. The GEM Creative Educational Pedagogy prides itself in its philosophy that “All Kids are Genius”.
One of the tools used to encourage creative learning and nurturing of the mind is through the arts. Children unleash their inhibitions and explore their creativity by expressing their thoughts, feelings and emotions through arts. Children are seen connecting with their hearts and soul in GEM’s first burst into the scene with ART: The Originality of the Children DREAMS! that became the turning point for the development of Malaysia’s Children Picture Books Illustration project since 2018.
Making the world environment issues as the focal point, GEM and now together with a growing team of partners believes that children will be seeded with the right mindset for the future of our planet through self-expression via the arts. The committed adults and experts will serve as guides and coaches for the young from the onset of this project.
Hence, Planetopia 1.0 was initiated in 2018 – being the interactive education initiative/program that inculcates a child’s basic intuition to care for the environment. The initiative also includes content that provides insights and encouraging solutions for the young to immerse themselves in healthy living both physically and psychologically – something we feel is pertinent in the current isolated and sterile digitized world.
Planetopia 1.0 was later succeed by Planetopia 2.0, which is a continuation of our effort to extend various outlets and opportunities for our children to access learning possibilities. Through this program, we nurture children to expand their current inexperienced limited view and LOVE for nature, and grow it towards a humongous desire to LOVE for World Peace and a Green World.
PLANETOPIA 3.0 - 2023

This is why we, ARTGEM co-aligned to Madani Malaysia and Sustainability Development of Tourism, to roll out as pioneer in Malaysia to co-promote the Kids Art Entrepreneurs and art sustainability tourism to the eyes of the World. The goal is to raise professional artists from a young age, before talents are being outgrown.
